The Log Analyzer Tab contains tools for viewing and processing data of spider visits.
The information about spider visits is mainly presented in the form of a tree, the exact building pattern of which may be selected in the combobox to the right. There are 6 patterns, which include all possible transpositions of 3 parameters: Spider, Date, and Path. To apply the pattern change, press the Rebuild Tree button.
You may set the time limits for spider visit reports (accurate to one day). The time period for which spider visits are reflected in the visits tree is set using the fields in the right part of the window. The min and max buttons set the initial and final dates or the period, respectively.
Press Settings button to change parameters of preview. The new window will contain several options. When a Show only the last visit option is selected, the tree contains only the last spider visit to a unique page. If you check the Hide requests to robots.txt field (enabled by default), the tree will not contain information on spider requests to the robots.txt file. When a Mark spiders that did not visit robots.txt is selected, the spiders that have not request to robots.txt are marked by different icon. When a Show spiders with different user-agents separately is selected, visits of different user-agents of the same spider are grouped separately and tree displays spider name with user-agent name in brackets. When the option is not selected, visits of all user-agents of the same spider are grouped together and tree displays spider name without user-agent name.
There is also a text field at the bottom that displays certain information on the elements in the visits tree, when they are selected.
You may start the Import Wizard , the Export Wizard , and the Report Wizard from the Log Analyzer Tab. You can also load information from the logfile database and update the database with new data.
