General
PPC Analyzer is a module that allows launching and managing your PPC campaigns on such PPC services as Overture or such ads engines as Google AdWords. Using this module you will be able to retrieve and track information on minimum and maximum bids, submitted by your rivals, view texts of advertisements and track changes in the positions your rivals occupy in the paid search results.
To start working with the module, enter the search term you want to bid for into the Add keyword field, select the services you want to be included into the analysis from the Engines window and click Analyze. The PPC resources are divided into two groups - PPC Engines and Ads Engines. PPC engines are the ones that do not provide organic search results, i. e. they search only among sites, whose owners agree to pay for every click. Ads engines - like Google AdWords display paid listings within organic search results, usually highlighted and clearly stated out that these results are sponsored by the sites' owners.
In case a search engine uses image-protected scheme for preventing automated querying, the program will display these images in a separate window, allowing you to enter the texts, displayed on these images manually. Note, that texts on the images may be case-sensitive.
After the analysis the program will display the results in the main window. In the main table you will see the list of PPC search services you included into the analysis and the detailed information on the amount of bids submitted by your competitors. Thus, if you want to find information on the bid amount your rival pays for maintaining the first position on Overture by your keyword, select the keyword in the Keywords window, find the Overture column and see the line for the first position.
There is a column of buttons between the main table and the list of keywords, providing access to various tabs with various modes of results preview. Thus, by default the program opens the first tab - Ranks and bids.
The second tab - Bid statistics - displays information on minimum, maximum and average bids on every search engine and service. The results are grouped by keywords.
The third tab - Top advertisers - displays detailed information on the advertisements, placed by your competitors. Here you can view the URL of the site that participate in the PPC campaign by your keyword, the position of the site, the title of the ad, used by the advertiser, the price paid by each one for one click, and also information about changes - the previous bid of the advertiser and the previous position, occupied by the ad.
The fourth tab - Bid trends - contains bar charts which display prices paid by top advertisers on each search engine.
The next two tabs display information on Ads Engines (currently only two most important ones). The information on top bids, submitted by advertisers is not available for ads engines, so the first tab - Ads competitors - displays only URLs of the advertising sites, their positions in search results and, titles and descriptions of the ad blocks.
The second tab - Ads view - displays the ads blocks as they are present on the search engine results page.
Currency
The program allows selecting currency for displaying maximum bids. By default the program displays the original currency. You can change the currency to be displayed from the drop-down menu. If you need currency not included in the program you can easily set its rates by clicking the button and in the pop-up window enter the rates and the name of the currency needed. The rates are relative to $USD. By default there are four major currencies included - USD, EUR, GBP, and RUR.
Reports
All reports on PPC campaign analysis sessions are stored in the Reports tab and can be accessed here at any moment for the current profile.
