Link popularity, i.e. the number of sites which are linking to your site, is an increasingly important factor as far as search engine placement is concerned. Other things remaining the same, more the number of links to your site, higher will be its ranking. Link Popularity module helps you measure the link popularity of your site.
On the Settings tab enter your Web Site URL. Set competitors URLs if you want to compare your link popularity to that of your closest rivals. To do this, click Change, enter the URL(s) into the edit line and click Add. To remove competitor URL select it and click Delete. Only checked competitors URLs will be used for comparing link popularity. To select all URLs click Check All. To clear selection click Uncheck All. Select engines you would like to use for estimating the number of pages, linking to your site. To select search engines, click to expand the tree and check the appropriate check boxes. To select all engines in the list click Check All, to clear selection, click Uncheck All.
Track Changes
This tab allows tracking your site link popularity changes in the form of a chart.
Select the period to be displayed, select search engines and check the sites to be displayed. The chart will be generated immediately allowing you to see the changes. You can select several sites for comparative chart.
Reports
If you click on the View Reports tab the following window will appear, where reports are presented in the form of a tree, sorted by date. To expand the tree, and view reports, click and select the report on the link popularity measuring session you would like to view. You can easily navigate your Link Popularity reports with < Back and Forward > buttons. To print the report, click Print, which will launch standard printer dialog, where you can configure printing options. To perform print preview, click Preview. Reports are saved automatically in the program reports folder, but if you want to save a report elsewhere, you can do it by clicking Save and browsing to the target folder. To send a report by e-mail, click Mail and configure e-mail settings. In the pop-up window enter the following information:
E-mail reports recipients - enter the addresses of the people you would like to the program to send reports to.
Subject - the subject of the letter. It can be any arbitrary word or phrase, but it is recommended that the subject conveyed some relevance to the topic of the report, e. g. Page Promoter Linkage Report
"From" address for the mail reports - enter the address, which will be inserted into the "From" field of your e-mail reports
"From" name for the e-mail reports - enter the name, which will be inserted into the "From" field of your e-mail reports. By default the text "Page Promoter 6 Report" is inserted.
After configuring e-mail settings click Send to post the report immediately. Otherwise click Close.
