23.02.2004 the NetPromoter company announced the release of the latest version of its flagship software Page Promoter 6.1 and set out the roadmap for future software developments aimed at taking the company into new markets and increasing the penetration of its existing markets. Page Promoter is a software suite for website search engine submission and optimization. Version 6.1 introduces a number of new enhancements to the core product, including new capabilities in the area of submission to various regional search engines and directories, non-unicode languages support and more. Page Promoter version 6.1 contains a huge database of both global and regional search engines and directories as well as FFA sites and is one of the leaders in the global search engine positioning market.
The following changes have been made to the new version of Page Promoter software:
- Enhanced support for various encodings. Even if the encoding is not explicitly declared on the page, the program is still able to figure it out.
- New visual Robots.txt Editor module introduced. Using robots.txt file you can easily control search engine spiders coming to index your website.
- The Link Popularity module improved. New search engines for link popularity check have been added, now you can compare your link popularity to the link popularity of your competition. After the analysis the reports are generated.
- New Keyword Builder module, integrated with such search engines like Overture, Google, Yahoo allows building a list of terms that are closely related to the topic of your website
- Yahoo and Dmoz submission algorithms improved.
